- Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, writing , performing and recording music has always been a huge part of Mike’s life. He began playing guitar at the age of 12. His first guitar teacher was John Oates of “Hall and Oates.” Mike also studied with jazz guitar great Steve Giordano, and after attending Combs College of Music, played the original band circuit in Philadelphia, and produced jingles. He often performs solo acoustic or with his band "Soul Q".
Mike’s original music combines rhythmic grooves, magnetic melodies, and memorable lyrics that take the listener in many directions . He uses rock, jazz, funk and folk to create a unique sound that is honest, raw, and real.

”A batter of multiple influences thrown into a musical cookie jar, and depending on the mental appetite at the time, taken back out fully baked to feed famished song enthusiasts everywhere.”
Based in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania this music veteran has been through House bands, 70’s fusion , 80’s new wave, and 90’s grunge, only to escape unscathed and emboldened to move forward .
