Event Description

MISTAKEN CHARITY tells the tale of two 87 year old impoverished and handicapped twin sisters, Harriet and Charlotte Shattuck, living in a shack in 1906 Maine, and subsisting on foraged dandelions and doughnuts. Along comes a neighbor, Mrs Simmonds who is intent on good works, and insists that the sisters must leave their cabin for more comfortable surroundings. Ensconced at the local "Old Ladies' Home", they are miserable, and escape to attempt a journey back home. MISTAKEN CHARITY is the new black comedy written and directed by Stan Heleva, based on the writings of Mary Wilkins Freeman and Sarah Orne Jewett.  The performance will feature Michelle Pauls, Marcia Hepps, Jody Gross and Michael Dura.
